How FieldScouter collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: July 13, 2026
FieldScouter is a farm scouting app made by Triwebix LLC ("we", "us"). It works together with FieldCommandCenter so your fields, observations, and logs stay in sync across your operation. This policy explains what information we collect through the FieldScouter mobile app and the fieldscouter.io website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your actual password). You may optionally add a phone number for text-message features.
The content you add while using the app: farm and field names, field boundaries, crops, planting dates, scouting observations, photos, voice notes and their transcriptions, spray and irrigation logs, and similar records. This data belongs to you and is used only to provide the service.
With your permission, the app uses your device's location to tag scouting observations to the correct field, record field walks, and pull hyper-local weather. Location is collected only while you use those features. You can decline or revoke location access in your device settings; the app still works without it.
With your permission, the app uses your camera and photo library so you can attach photos to scouting observations and crop identification requests. Photos you submit for crop-issue identification are sent to OpenAI, a third-party AI service, to generate an analysis. Questions you ask Harvest AI, voice recordings you submit for transcription, and related farm details (such as crop type, field name, and location) are also sent to OpenAI to produce your results. OpenAI processes this data only to provide the service and does not use it to train its models. You are asked for permission in the app before any of this data is shared.
We collect basic technical information needed to run the service, such as device type, app version, and error logs, to keep the app working reliably.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your farm data for advertising.
Your farm data is visible to members of your farm team according to the roles the farm owner assigns. We share information with service providers only as needed to run the app — for example cloud hosting and databases, satellite imagery providers, weather providers, OpenAI, the AI service that processes photos, voice notes, and questions you submit, and email/text delivery services. These providers may only use the information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from inside the app: go to Account → Delete Account and follow the prompts. You can also email us at support@triwebix.com and we will delete your account for you.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and role-based access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.
FieldScouter is intended for use by farming professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
